HOYA Truffles

3

Black truffles are a fungus and grow under the ground as a result of a symbiotic relationship with the roots of oaks and hazelnuts infected with the truffle mycorrhiza. We use spanish and english oaks.

While the smell of a truffle has been described as a combination of "old socks and sweat" its taste is one of the most indescribable luxuries that a person can have in this world.

Truffles have a culinary use as a flavour enhancer in many european recipes in a similar manner to the use of MSG in the orient.
